Cardiff, Wales—CO.LAB has made a significant impact on Cardiff’s retail scene since its grand opening on September 26th, 2024, at St. David’s Dewi Sant. The innovative retail space from Landsec and LDC has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm from the local community, drawing over 200 visitors on launch day alone and welcoming more than 2,000 visitors since opening. CO.LAB has quickly become a favourite shopping destination, offering a curated mix of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands.
The launch event set the tone for CO.LAB’s vibrant presence in Cardiff. The grand opening featured Vivir Tequila cocktails, a live DJ set from Welsh talent Katie Owen, and engaging in-store activities, creating a buzz among attendees. The VIP night saw a diverse array of guests, including BBC reporter and presenter Anna Bress, fashion influencers Michelle Nayla and Holly Pediar, and lifestyle blogger Shannon Owens. The positive reception has continued beyond the opening, with Cardiff residents and visitors eagerly exploring the unique offerings and signing up for a packed schedule of in-store events.

CO.LAB’s space is more than just a store; it has become a community hub for experiences. The luxury styling lounge offers personal appointments with in-house stylists, while wellness events provide moments of self-care and rejuvenation. The diverse event schedule has been a key draw, with events planned for everything from fashion styling sessions and meet-and-greets with brand founders to wellness activities like mindful journaling and crystal healing. Events are open to pre-booking and walk-ins, with details available on the CO.LAB Eventbrite page.

Housed in the former Monsoon space, CO.LAB features an impressive array of brands, from Kina and Tam's bold patterns and ethical craftsmanship to Oceanus's 80s-inspired, eco-friendly swimwear. "Oceanus is excited to be part of CO.LAB. We love innovative ideas and being able to bring our collection to more people," shared Hannah Attalah, Oceanus' founder.

Other standout brands include seventy + mochi, a female-led UK denim brand known for sustainable, seasonless designs. Haya Iqbal, MD of seventy + mochi, remarked, "We’re thrilled to be part of CO.LAB. It’s wonderful seeing customers engage with our products in person – it informs our process and helps us stay true to our values of reducing waste." Claire Hill Designs, Perfino, and Colorush are also among the remarkable brands that have made CO.LAB their temporary home, offering everything from handmade, recycled jewellery to sustainable, bold cashmere pieces.
