DUBAI (December 6, 2023). Acer has today announced the expansion of its product portfolio and business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a range of new eco-friendly, solar-powered, energy storage solutions. The rising demand for sustainable energy has led to the increasing popularity of mobile power stations. These portable solar-powered systems offer multiple benefits, providing backup power in storm-prone areas, additional power generation on-the-go and access to enough stored energy to power a household for up to 24 hours in the event of a power outage*.
The new range of mobile power stations come in 600W, 1800W and 3000W models, coupled with a choice of 100W, 200W and 400W foldable solar panels, support the increasing need for variable, renewable energy. As a 100% clean energy source, the power stations with solar panels are ideal for indoor, outdoor or off-grid living. These solar-powered systems are ideal for countless scenarios such as camping, power outages, an outdoor office, home emergencies, entertainment on-the-go, wireless charging of medical equipment, powering fish tanks in a power outage and supporting outdoor activities.
Power Station Range
Each of the three power stations in the new range comes with a bidirectional topology that supports fast charging, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), a switch to backup power within 14 ms, aluminium alloy brackets featuring a stronger structural design and an intelligent air cooling system. They each feature automatic detection of input frequency, 50 Hz or 60 Hz AC output frequency and multiple types of input ports for charging via solar panels, wall, or car charger. The built-in intelligent battery management system provides protection against overvoltage, overheating and short circuits.
The APS311 600W Portable Power Station
The APS311 600W is a portable power station with a 512W battery that can be fully charged in less than 2 hours and weighs just 7 kg. Even with standard dimensions of just 301 mmW, 227 mmH, and 193 mmD in size, its rated power is up to 600W with peak power up to 1000W and it will still have over 80% capacity after 3,000 charging cycles. With a generous selection of ports to connect multiple types of devices, it features 2 x AC, 2 USB-A ports, 2 Type-C ports, a car charging port, 2 x AC and 2 x DC 5521. For charging, there is an AC input jack, a carport and a 200W PV input system for connecting to a solar panel.
The APS321 1800W Portable Power Station
The APS321 is a medium-power portable station sized at 432 mmW, 270 mmH, 300 mmD with a 1229Wh battery capacity that is fully charged in less than 2 hours. Weighing just 22KG, it has a rate power of up to 1800W, peak power of up to 3000W and a life span of up to 3000 charging cycles. The APS321 Power Station features 2 x AC output ports, 2 x USB-A, 2 x USB-A quick charge ports, 2 x Type-C, a car port and 2 x DC 5521. It connects for charging via an AC port, car charging port or a 400W PV solar panel.
The APS331 3000W Portable Power Station (with optional additional battery)
The APS331 3000W is a high-power portable station, sized at 536 mmW, 303 mmH, and 343 mmD and weighing in at 34 kg. It comes with a bottom wheel design making it easier to transport. The square lithium iron phosphate battery, with 2560Wh capacity, is fully charged in less than 2 hours. The device supports battery expansion technology for larger battery capacity, supporting up to 6 extra batteries to reach a total capacity of 17.5KWh. With a rate power of up to 3000W, peak power up to 5000W and ultra-durable life span of up to 4000 charging cycles, it provides many years of service. The APS331 model boasts a host of ports to make the wireless charging of any device a breeze. It features multiple output ports including 3 x AC, 2 x USB-A slots, 2 x USB-A quick charge slots, 2 x Type-C slots, a car port, 2 x DC 5521 and an Anderson plug. It can be charged via its AC jack, a car charger or 2 x 400W solar panel PV input slots.
APS300 2.5kWh Battery
The APS300 is a 2.5KWh optional extra battery for the APS331 3000W portable power station. It can be expanded by connecting to an outdoor power source and can currently be connected to a maximum of 6 power packs in parallel to reach a capacity of 17.5kWh. With the average home drawing 750W to 1,000W of power per hour, this could power a household for more than 24 hours. The APS300 2.5KWh battery adopts large-capacity, high-safety square aluminum-shell battery cells and a built-in BMS management and protection system for real-time monitoring of battery working status.
High-Power Portable and Foldable Solar Panels
The three high-power portable and foldable solar panels in the new range from Acer are an efficient way to capture solar energy to charge devices and appliances both at home and on-the-go, especially useful when there is limited access to another power source. Each model in the new range is IP67 waterproof rated and comes with an adjustable kickstand. Made of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon, the foldable panels offer up to 23% conversion rate, producing more power per square foot and ensuring they are very space-efficient.
The 400W ASP330 model in peak conditions can produce 1.6kW daily, making it capable of easily powering most consumer devices like laptops, gaming consoles, televisions, fans, printers and even an average-sized RV on a camping trip. It weighs just 19.3 kg and unfolded it is 2890 x 958 mm with 11.6A maximum operating current and 36V maximum operating voltage.
