Macclesfield based ICT support specialist, iTG Technologies, has appointed two new customer service specialists to enhance the technical support offered to the company’s national client base.

Working from the company’s headquarters in Macclesfield, Cheshire, Katie Whiston and Sophie Buxton have significant customer service experience and will be proactively ‘checking-in’ with iTG Technologies’ client base on a regular basis. This additional, proactive level of support has been put into place to help the company build a more comprehensive understanding of what its clients are looking to achieve strategically from their technology infrastructure, placing them in a better position to add value to ICT projects and on-going support services.

Katie (24) lives in Macclesfield and attended Tytherington High School before joining Astra Zeneca on a two-year Human Resources Apprenticeship. She has gained considerable customer service experience in various roles, including as Front of House Manager at the Ryles Arms in Sutton and latterly as Customer Service Manager for Cheshire Cheese Company and Hartington Creamery, a role she still holds. She enjoys spending time outdoors including camping and walking.

Sophie (22) lives in Sutton and attended Macclesfield Academy before joining the Pendelton Performing Arts School in Salford. She studied broadcast journalism at the University of Salford where she achieved a BA degree with honours. In addition to her new role, Sophie is Marketing Manager at Cheshire Cheese Company, one of iTG Technologies’ e-commerce clients. She enjoys cooking, baking, travel and live music.

Commenting on their appointment, Ben Marshall, Service Desk Manager at iTG Technologies, says: “Sophie and Katie have come on board to offer our clients an additional level of contact and will be working from our offices several days a week. They are not replacing our existing technical support function but are enhancing it by being more proactive in contacting our clients. Them coming on board is an important part of the strategic reviews we are currently undertaking across the business, one of the objectives of which is to offer our clients the best possible ICT support service on the market.”
