Tora, an innovative wellbeing application, has officially launched its Kickstarter campaign, aiming to revolutionise the concept of urban exploration and social interaction into an exhilarating outdoor adventure.

Pioneered with the support of Virgin, Tora has been likened to a ‘healthier Pokémon Go.’ The app seamlessly connects users, promoting urban escapades through engaging games, walking challenges, and interactive icebreakers.

As users immerse themselves in gameplay, they simultaneously accumulate coins redeemable for rewards and discounts at various trendy venues dispersed throughout the city.

Scheduled to debut in the UK this December, Tora advocates for authentic, real-world connections. Co-founder Indi Howard highlights,

"Research indicates a significant 78% of us want immersive experiences. However, these encounters are often financially inaccessible and confined to indoor spaces. Tora elevates immersive experiences by taking them outdoors."

The genesis of Tora traces back to 2021, when co-founder Noah Heathcote amalgamated his personal journey combating isolation with expertise in immersive theatre from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Early backers that pledge on Kickstarter stand to unlock exclusive missions, lifetime rewards, and a chance to acquire one of the 50 rare Tora coins, symbolising the emergence of a new era of immersive social games.
