‘I XXXX MY SEX DOLL’ has begun its festival campaigning. The film presents a unique take on the ever critical issue of violence against women. Set in the near future, it investigates the powerlessness of women in the face of a man’s abuse, through the main character ‘Doll’, an advanced female companion android with artificial intelligence.
The stylistically and thematically compelling short film, by genre female writer/director Fay Beck, aims to enter major international festival competitions around the world.

Producers Martina Avogadri (the eponymous 'Doll' in the film) and Fay Beck welcome further enquiries on the project. Martina Avogadri is happy to be contacted via email at any time.

The short film is a stand alone piece, promising to take audiences on an unnerving ride into domestic violence, a subject close to writer/director Fay Beck. "My hope is to reach wider audiences with this subject by developing the film into a feature", says Fay, highlighting how even just shooting this short has given her an opportunity to expose and reckon with some harrowing personal experiences.

With this film, Fay Beck - whose debut feature film will be shot in the UK in August 2022 - gives a powerful proof of concept of her brave and uncompromising voice, that aims to join the (finally) expanding array of genre female filmmakers.
