We Love Pets has gained charitable status and launched their new charity based in Suffolk, UK this New Year and on Friday the 6th of January, they had their first major fundraiser… A head shave.

Phillip’s head shave has raised over £600 for Boop. Amazing work from Phillip, his family, friends, and the community. A special thanks to Jo from Redz Hairstylists Beccles and Bungay for coming to complete the head shave and chop Phillip’s hair correctly to be able to also donate his ponytails to The Little Princess Trust.

Boop is a UK charity on a mission to enhance the lives of young people and animals through education. Simply, Boop is a charity group dedicated to improving the welfare of both children and animals by allowing children access to free high-quality, educational content and providing school assemblies and workshops.

“Education on animal welfare has become something that is simply passed on from parent/guardian to child, and when misinformation is spread, difficulties arise” says Boop.

Phillip, who fundraised for Boop said, “there are so many benefits to both children and animals when you simply introduce education. It may not sound like a big charity, but the results they can produce from our fundraising for Boop, could be life-changing to thousands of children and animals - and that's worth going bald for.”

Introducing animal education to children will help build not only confidence and development of personal skills but in hand help the future protection of animals by educating the next generation on how to properly care for and treat pets and wildlife in everyday life.

Each donation will help Boop provide educational courses, workshops and resources to teach young people about pet care, wildlife and animals. Boop are currently booking into schools across England and have their first visits starting in February.

The founders of Boop, husband and wife team - Ryan and Jo White, have said they aim to raise enough donations to be able to open a Animal Learning Resource Centre, where young people, schools and families can come and visit for free to learn about pet care, animal welfare and interact with different types of animals with experts. Bringing huge benefits to the community, our children, our pets and wildlife!
