Nutraleya, Awarded Best Vegan & Halal Health Supplements Brand, 2022, UK in Global Health Pharma’s Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals Award 2022, celebrated by Founder and CEO Aleya Chowdhury, and joining in on this celebratory moment was Official Forbes Coach Adam Stott, (Pic: left) and Lee McQueen (Pic: right), Founder of Raw Talent Academy, after winning BBC Apprentice and working for Lord Sugar.

Nutraleya celebrates its first Award. In a comprehensive article published by GHP on the journey of this business led by Founder and CEO Aleya Chowdhury. The story unfolds with Aleya describing her pains, taking 8-9 vitamin pills daily, and finding a simple one-a-day, all-in-one supplement that became her solution to joints, bones, anti-aging, B-complex, hair, skin, and nails. This no-nonsense solution took the form of HealthyWoman with ancient ingredients acai berry, green tea, dong quai extracts, and hyaluronic acid to complement the formulation for women over 30. This is one of fourteen products produced by Nutraleya's team.

As a Nutritional Therapist, Aleya believes in eating healthy and getting all the vitamins and minerals through a balanced diet of fruits and vegetables to achieve wellness. However, in reality, often it is impossible to meet all the dietary requirements that are crucial for our immune system and the best way to ensure safeguarding your diet against nutritional deficiencies is to take daily supplements. After a certain age nutrient levels start depleting, it is important to understand that factors such as age, coffee, alcohol, and medications to name a few things can deplete essential vitamins and minerals in the body, therefore topping them up using supplements are some of the ways to maintain optimum health.

Nutraleya's supplements are built on ancient herbal ingredients such as blackseed, turmeric, ashwagandha, korean ginseng that have made it into modern-day science proving efficacy. Aleya Explained 'In keeping our labeling clean, easy-to-understand, and jargon-free we are able to share nutritional health to people unfamiliar and new to supplements. There are many people who could benefit from supplementation who do not take them, as such Nutraleya set itself to educate, raise awareness and inform people of the benefits of essential vitamins and minerals. "our focus has been to reach non-traditional supplement users, pushing the brand to the broadest possible audience, catering for men, women, and children to help maintain their immune health, joint and bone health to maintain mobility and an active lifestyle whereby people can enjoy life, 'live well' and 'feel great' in their daily lives.

Aleya explains. “We work hard with our biochemists and nutritionists to ensure our formulations are fit-for-purpose. Our children’s supplements are chewable, like sweets. Kids Chewable tablets are sugar-free and made from natural flavours and better absorbed.” Despite an incredible product ready for use, the business almost went under during the COVID-19 pandemic when an investor passed away.

To Aleya’s credit, and to everyone else’s benefit, the business was able to recover after eight months offline. We asked Aleya how
she’d managed it: “We went back to the drawing board and in January 2021, re-launched our online retail presence and redesigned our marketing and advertising strategy to include trade shows, pop-up stalls, information and advice, Q&A, and personalised nutritional deficiency assessment and antioxidant assessments and social media engagement.”

This people-focused approach, pushing personal connection above all else, proved to be the saving grace for the business. “Since Covid, people have become more health conscious and are looking towards natural supplementation,” Aleya continues, adding: “To help people understand their own personal nutrient needs we introduced Personalised Nutrition Check namely Nutritional Deficiency Assessment and antioxidant assessment.” These personalised, self-assessment questionnaires have gone a long way to helping many people, mainly because they narrow down the needs of the customer and provide a supplement recommendation as close as possible to their needs.

Through hard work, researched needs, and connecting with newer audiences, it led to Aleya Chowdhury developing an online platform to make easy access to 'Personalised Nutrition Check', a non-invasive self-assessment screening tool to help identify nutrient risks and recommending supplements that would be suitable.

The 'Personalised Nutrition Check' is due to be launched at this year's Pharmacy Show on October 16-17th at Birmingham NEC, UK, stand no. F13. A solution to the pains of pharmacists with little knowledge of nutritional supplementations and its benefits and little knowledge of the contraindications of medications that depletes essential vitamins and minerals in the human body. Nutraleya’s ‘Personalised Nutrition Check’ is a cost-effective solution to primary healthcare providers in offering guidance on maintaining personal self-care.
