Stagecoach Performing Arts continue to experience a phenomenal rate of growth across Germany, as entrepreneurs launch the children’s performing arts programme in Berlin, with plans for further expansion before the year is out. In celebration of a momentous 12 months ‘in showbusiness’, franchisees around the nation hosted a one-of-a-kind performance.

As part of the ninth annual showcase, 225 children from schools across Hessen, Cologne, Frankfurt, Mainz, Darmstadt and Munich took part in a professional performance in the Hessisches Staatstheater at the Kurhaus, in Wiesbaden. Students aged 4-18 joined other children from their respective schools on stage, performing famous musical numbers in front of family and friends.

Andrew Walters, Director of International Business Development at Stagecoach Performing Arts, takes great pride in being able to offer students around the world the opportunity to partake in such large-scale performances.

“We’re all about encouraging our students to get the most out of their weekly classes but we’re incredibly excited to be able to offer these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to children across the world too. The atmosphere on the evening was electric – we received incredible feedback from both parents and students. Thank you to all who came along on the evening and to all the students for putting on an incredible show.”

The team behind the imminent launch of Stagecoach Performing Arts Berlin-Mitte, Johannes Mock-O'Hara, David O'Hara and Perrin Manzer Allen, attended the showcase in support of their fellow franchisees. They are looking forward to welcoming students in the Autumn term.

“Although my background has been predominantly in managing internationally-recognised visitor attractions and theatrical performances, this new endeavour is something I feel particularly passionate about because Stagecoach makes a real impact on a more personal level,” explained Johannes. “Stagecoach is more than just a leisure activity for children. It teaches confidence, social skills and gives a whole generation of performance-lovers a place to meet and have fun.”

Stagecoach Performing Arts Berlin-Mitte will officially open its doors to students, at the historical site of Phorms Campus in central Berlin, on Saturday 14th September.
