Evoke Classics is offering a rare, low-mileage, low-ownership 1964 Wolseley Hornet at auction, with all proceeds of the sale being donated in full to the Alzheimer’s Society.
The car was owned by Roger, who sadly passed away from Alzheimer’s two years ago. Purchased in 1966, it was taken off the road in 1979 when he received a company car and has been stored under cover since.
Extraordinarily original with only two owners and 48k mileage, it is a very rare find indeed, and with that backstory it would be criminal not to bring the little hornet back to life.
Roger’s family, supported by Roger’s long-time friend Roy, have chosen to donate the full sale proceeds to the Alzheimer’s Society in his memory.
Paul Cunningham, Evoke Classics’ commercial director, said “When Roy told us about Roger’s little Wolseley Hornet I was impressed to hear how well it had survived. And when he mentioned it would be sold in memory of Roger with the proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Society, we jumped at the chance to help with the sale”.
Roy said: “I feel connected to the car and would like to see it go to a good home with the proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Society.”
The 1964 Wolseley Hornet is now live on Evoke Classics’ online auction platform and the auction ends on 30 September 2025.
