Adam Buxton, the winner of the "Podcast Champion" at the inaugural British Podcast Awards guested on the up and coming Netflix Film review podcast "Flixwatcher".

The format of Flixwatcher Podcast is a "Book Club" for Netflix films. The guests pick the films that will be discussed on the show for the audience.

Adam Buxton chose the Netflix Documentary "What Happened, Miss Simone" - the Bio-pic about the life of esteemed musician Nina Simone. This lead to discussion and comparisons that involved other music documentaries including Asif Kapadia's "Amy" about Amy Winehouse, Nick Broomfield's "Whitney" about Whitney Houston.

The podcast is hosted by Helen Sadler and Kobi Omenaka (pictured with Adam Buxton), who together with Adam and another guest Zoë Jeyes, the curator of The London Podcast Festival and deputy manager of the live venue "King's Place", discuss the film before each contributing to the unique "Flixwatcher Scoring".

"What Happened, Miss Simone" scored 3.8 out of a possible 5.

Flixwatcher is a weekly podcast that includes films from all genres. The popular episodes include vampire comedy "What We Do In The Shadows", by "Thor Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi's "Ex Machina" and Pulp Fiction among much more.
